We didn’t get a chance to dedicate the repair stand on the Steamboat Trace Trail last year because of the Hopken Vortex, so we’ll plan for a sunny spring day in Peru in April.
You can ride any or all of the 40 miles of the Steamboat Trace Trail, or journey off on some gravel for a route of around 50 miles.
This is a very low key, show and go, social ride. While there could a sighting of “The Better Hopken”, please plan on being responsible for yourself.
There is a grocery store and restaurant in Peru as well as a coffee and ice cream shop in Brownsville.
Routes are tentative. We may update the gravel routes south of Peru to add in a cemetery or two if weather allows.

Plan on pedaling 12 miles on this no-drop group ride. We‘ll ride out & back on the crushed limestone trails of the Wabash Trace Council Bluffs to Margarittaville, with a scavenger hunt, seed planting, and refreshments to celebrate our planet’s big day! 28mm tires or wider are required for this ride.

Welcome to Mimosas on The MoPac!
Come join us for a fun and relaxing morning on the MoPac Trail. Sip on delicious mimosas at our turn-around point while enjoying the beautiful scenery and fresh air. This event is the perfect way to unwind and socialize with friends on a Sunday morning.
2 route options- 22 miles and roughly 10 miles. Casual pace and no drop! Since the trail is crushed limestone and can be soft in spots leave the skinny tire road bikes at home and grab that gravel, mountain, hybrid or pedal assist e-bike with tires at least 35mm wide. For the 22 mile option plan on rolling out at 10 am from the parking lot on the south side of Platteview Rd just east of Hwy 50 (look for the TREK van!) If you prefer the 10 mile option, park at the trailhead by the river which is on Hwy 31 just west of Hwy 50, on the south side. We will roll out from that lot approximately `10:45 am.
Our turn around point will be the Lied River Bridge, where we will enjoy some refreshing mimosas (non alcholic options too!) and snacks, before heading back to the trailhead.
Signed waiver and helmets required.

Flanagan Lake Playground Parking 41.320378, -96.187137 (south side of 174 & Ida) in NW Omaha.
We will make our second attempt at a monthly NW ride after having to cancel because of wind last month. Leave from the Flanagan Park Playground parking at 41.320378, -96.187137 in Northwest Omaha. (On the south side of 174th & Ida) This is our first deviation from the traditionally South Omaha start and is a no drop ride on paved trail and friendly neighborhoods. The pace is moderate. We will loop around the north end of Flanagan Lake first and then head south down the north end of the West Papio trail toward Scooters on Maple St. For those who wish to just ride an out and back ride the return trip to Flanagan Lake will be about 12 mi. round trip but the route will take those looking for a longer ride and more adventure down through the Huntington Park Trail which offers many options for some ad hoc return trips.
Greenstreet Cycles - Aksarben
Join us for a Casual Ride on the trails starting from Greenstreet Cycles in Aksarben Village. This is a no-drop ride. 10 to 15 mph Average Speed. We leave from Greenstreet Cycles in Aksarben Village and ride the trails. destination to be determined at the ride. All are welcome, no matter the experience. Minors need to be accompanied by an adult guardian/parent. Non-members need to sign a waiver, online or in person. Helmets required. Ebikes welcome.

Join the BBC on a Sunday Afternoon Casual NO DROP ride. Welcome to all riders and ages (Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. Helmets are RQUIRED.) Registration for non-members is also required. You can register (sign a liability waiver) at the event as well. Average speed 10 to 15 mph. Destination determined the day of the ride.
This month our regular membership meeting for all members and guests will be on the second Monday of the month in order to align with our Ride of Silence and accommodate our special guest speaker Dr. Kim Latacha who will be speaking about the car/bike accident that took the life of her husband Dr. Matt Latacha and her involvement to raise awareness of safety for cyclists using the roadways. Each month we hope to provide value-added information and/or training for club members. This is one you will not want to miss.

Wabash Trace Council Bluffs Trailhead
Bike or Walk and Eat Tacos in a fun community celebration/fundraiser on the Wabash Trace, in honor of Mike Kutilek. Mike Kutilek was an outgoing and healthy young man who enjoyed several outdoor activities, but he especially loved biking. He learned to ride a bike very early at age 3, and especially loved the Wabash Trace "Taco Ride" on Thursday nights with friends and family. In Mike‘s late twenties he manifested mental illness and eventually passed away in May of 2020 at age 29. For 4 years the family has organized this event in Mike‘s honor that raises funds to help support Community Alliance, a local mental health organization that is having a significant impact in the community.

Trek 100 began as a humble charity bike ride to raise funds for childhood cancer childhood cancer and related blood disorders research. But over the last three decades, it‘s grown into something so much bigger. Since 1990, we‘ve raised over $20 million for the MACC Fund — and on June 8, we‘ll gather at Trek‘s global headquarters once again to ride, party, and support this crucial cause.

This is a 2-4-person team, 18-hole miniature golf course bike ride on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail. This event is a fundraiser!

Okay, time to slide into another year. The Slide Ride is a weekly ride on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm, during the late Spring through Early fall, departing from Stinson Park (Aksarben Village in Omaha) and riding the trails.
The ride is hosted by Trek Omaha West.
Our Motto is "We don‘t go fast and we don‘t go far." The Slide Ride will start, Wednesday, April 24th, at 6:30 pm., from Stinson Park, Aksarben, and continue each Wednesday until the end of September. Riders must have a bike, wear a helmet, and have hydration. No children please. We ride 10-15 miles at a leisurely pace, and those who choose convene at Pauli‘s for adult beverages.

At each location you purchase from you can draw a poker card to complete your best hand (1 card per location). The best hand will win a prize at the end of the ride will receive a prize from HOST LOCATION. Cards must be turned in by 5pm to be included. American Legion Post #374
This is not an official club ride. The American Legion Post #374 is sponsoring a bike ride to raise awareness of veteran and first responder suicides. Join them for a 22 mile bicycle ride along the West Papio trail to Culvers and the Twin Creek Trailhead. They will start at 2:00 pm at the American Legion Millard Post #374 location.
